UD Past Time Pennants Countdown: More Yankees!

This November I'm counting down the 90 2005 UD Past Time Pennants cards from worst to best.  We are now into the mid-60s in the countdown.  This is where it started to get tougher to decide exactly where a specific card should place.  I'm sure you won't agree with all my choices - but that's part of the fun of a countdown, is it not?

#66:  Don Mattingly

There are so many Yankees in this set (or so it seems).  I would have to count to verify but it sure feels like the Yankees outnumber the next closest team (in terms of total cards) by a two-to-one margin.  As for this Yankee, it's a pretty nice card.  It would have ranked a lot higher if you could make out who was sliding back into first (and if there wasn't a gratuitous umpire crotch shot in the photo).

#65.  Steve Carlton

The 2005 UD Past Time Pennants set mixes black-and-white photos with color photos to good effect.  For some reason, the monochromatic photos seem more interesting to me (for the most part).  I will say this though, the Top 10 cards in the set are a mix of color and black-and-white.

You might think this is a terribly boring posed shot (and you'd be correct).  However, what's not boring is the guy in the background just watching the proceedings.  He's what made this card clock in at #64!
